Reincarnation, the belief that we live more than one life, has
appeared across cultures and centuries, from ancient philosophy to
modern spiritual movements. But what does it mean for our
understanding of consciousness and identity?
In this talk, writer and historian Gary Lachman will explore
reincarnation through the lens of Western esoteric traditions.
Drawing on his work on Rudolf Steiner, the evolution of
consciousness, and imaginative knowledge, Lachman considers how the
idea of rebirth fits into a wider search for meaning beyond the
material. This is not a theological lecture but a thoughtful look
at how reincarnation has shaped our thinking about the self, memory
and the soul.

Gary Lachman is the
author of several books about consciousness, culture, and the
Western esoteric tradition, including Dreaming Ahead of Time, The
Return of Holy Russia, Dark Star Rising: Magick and Power in the
Age of Trump, Lost Knowledge of the Imagination, Beyond the Robot:
The Life and Work of Colin Wilson, and, most recently, Maurice
Nicoll: Forgotten Teacher of the Fourth Way. He has written
biographies of C G Jung, Madame Blavatsky, Rudolf Steiner, Emanuel
Swedenborg, P D Ouspensky, and Aleister Crowley. His work has been
translated into more than a dozen languages. In a former life he
was a founding member of the pop group Blondie and in 2006 was
inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is an adjunct
professor of Transformative Studies at the California Institute of
Integral Studies.

Each year, Antique Beat and A Curious Invitation host London Month of the Dead, a festival of over 60 different events to inform, provoke and entertain on teh subject of mortality and the city.
Events include walks, talks, workshops, theatrical performances, storytelling, live-scored films, concerts, and visits to secret parts of the city.
Subjects span the cultural landscape from the forensic to the esoteric with an unparalleled range of speakers, performers, guides and experts.
Each year, London Month of the Dead donates 20% of ticket revenue to one of London's magnificent seven cemeteries.
