For centuries, the changing phases of the Moon have shaped folklore, ritual and magical practice, guiding everything from planting crops to casting spells. In this introductory workshop, held within the atmospheric surroundings of Kensal Green Cemetery, discover how each phase of the lunar cycle has traditionally been associated with different energies, intentions and forms of magic, and how these ancient beliefs continue to inspire modern witchcraft today.
Wiccan High Priestess and Hedge Witch May Draper will guide you through the symbolism and significance of the New, Waxing, Full and Waning Moons, exploring how the lunar cycle is believed to influence our emotions, wellbeing and spiritual practice. The evening concludes with an outdoor ritual and spell working aligned with the Waning Moon, a time traditionally associated with release, protection and letting go—offering a practical introduction to lunar magic beneath the night sky.
