For generations, the stories of women have too often been overlooked, their lives reduced to a name on a headstone or omitted from history altogether. Join us for a walk through Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park as we rediscover the remarkable women who shaped the East End—campaigners, pioneers, performers, explorers, trade unionists and extraordinary local characters whose lives illuminate the social history of Victorian and twentieth-century London.
Among the winding paths and weathered monuments of one of London’s Magnificent Seven cemeteries, we’ll uncover stories of resilience, courage and community, revealing the hidden lives behind the memorials. This walk also touches on some of the harsher realities faced by women of the time, including violence against women, child mortality and sex work, offering a moving and thought-provoking portrait of East End life.

8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.

refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
